This is my world of creation and thought processes for Singapore’s home projects. It helps to organise my thoughts and constantly curate myself as a designer. A little bout’ myself.
I graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic- (Dip) Product Design & Innovation. I learnt about model making, computed 3d forms, material properties and manufacturability. My favourite part was to sketch in 2-point perspective drawings and color them with copic markers.
I furthered my studies in LASALLE College of the Art- BA (Hons) Design Communication. I enjoy illustrating and practiced hard in search for my style. In school, I learnt about the fundamentals of layout and applied those theories in projects. We talked about negative spaces and observed graphics in detail.
Moving into interior design, I mashed my skillsets and look at it from a 2d & 3d perspective. The ID career requires more than designing, technical knowledge, project management and customer service are involved. As a product / graphic designer, I hope my background will value-add into the industry, to create new experiences in space!
The GIF illustrates a full scale home design, it shows the linear process of a renovation, each layer based on a certain job scope. The colors separations indicates depth in space. I am trying to look at interior spaces from a graphic point of view. This allows me to build compositions and determine for its best outcome.
